Dalgety Street Community House is situated next door to Glenhaven Special Care Facility. It has access to staff 24 hours a day.

The house is a 5-bedroom home and is available for transitional, respite or long term accommodation. It has wheelchair access in two bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, kitchen/dining area and courtyard.

Young people are independent with all personal care activities and assisted with household duties, such as cooking and basic domestic duties. Participating in community activities is encouraged with assistance available when needed. Most young people partake in further skill development and set goals of independent living.

The friendly, experienced staff support young people to improve and maintain their skills and to gain confidence in all aspects of their independence. Young people are required to be fully independent throughout the night, and capable of preparing all meals with minimal supervision.
