A GEELONG-based clinical trial has successfully investigated the benefits of people with bipolar taking a naturally occurring antioxidant. Researchers have found N-acetyl cyst eine (NAC), which naturally occurs in green leafy vegetables, reduces some of the distressing symptoms of the mental disorder not helped by existing medication.
