Volunteers restore hope in Cebu - Southern Courier, 5 April 2011
A team of nurses and anaesthetists from Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick have arrived home from a lifesaving mission to the Philippines.
Visiting the town of Cebu, the team performed life-changing surgery on 76 disfigured children as part of the hospital's contribution to the non-profit organisation, Operation Restore Hope.

World first in the fight against heart disease - Southern Courier, 11 February 2011
A world first high definition CT scanner provides a new tool in the fight against Australia’s biggest killer - heart disease. The Prince of Wales Private Hospital machine allows doctors to see clearer and better defined images to give them accurate information for their diagnosis of heart problems, such as coronary artery problems.

Baby cam proves a hit in the Western Suburbs - Wentworth Courier, 7 February 2011
FOR Julie and Josh of Rose Bay LookMyBaby offered extra support last week. Their baby Finn was born a month early on January 22, instead of February 22, at Prince of Wales Private Hospital, Randwick. Julie was discharged from hospital a week later but Finn had to stay behind because he was underweight. The hospital has installed the LookMyBaby webcam on all its maternity ward nursery cribs so babies can be watched from video footage as it is streamed online.

Hybrid theatres for hybrid surgery - H&A, December 2010-January 2011
One of the first purpose-built hybrid theatres in NSW opened at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Sydney in late September, allowing traditional
open surgery to be conducted in conjunction with state of the art imaging, as Kate McDonald reports.

In an Australian first, the Prince of Wales Private Hospital has been testing state-of-the-art webcams to allow parents and family be closer to their premature newborns. The webcams allow family and friends to watch video footage of a newborn online, making a visit to the maternity ward only a click away.
