Simon James Appointed General Manager of Brisbane Private Hospital
Simon joined the team at Healthscope’s Brisbane Private Hospital as General Manager in February 2011.
Simon shares a common aim with his Healthscope colleagues to realise the Healthscope Vision - to be a premier provider of healthcare services.
He is dedicated to ensuring that Brisbane Private Hospital is synonymous with that vision for all people – patients, team members, Doctors and business partners – who are part of the Healthscope journey.
Prior to joining Healthscope, Simon worked as CEO of HOCA a leading provider of cancer care services in South East Queensland and prior to that in the role of GM Pharmacy with APHS –Australia’s largest Oncology pharmacy service. Simon also spent 5 years working as a Health Consultant and Regional Director with Mayne Health at hospitals in Northern NSW and Brisbane.
Simon is a Fellow of the AICD, Associate Fellow of the ACHSE and a member of the Brisbane Club. He is also a Board Member of Play Group Queensland and Hockey Queensland.
