New Day Surgery at BWPH

A new day surgery unit was opened at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital in June 2007.

Construction of the unit had been in planning for the hospital over a number of years, to ease the overcrowding and improve the facility.

The Hospital is owned by Healthscope who funded the 3-month project.

The new Day Surgery unit features a modern professional interior and allows for the separation of pre-operative and post-operative patients, with additional consulting rooms for patient privacy.

Gosford Mayor Laurie Mayer opened the new unit, in a ceremony attended by a number of dignitaries, doctors, staff and patients.

The General Manager of Brisbane Waters Private Hospital, Ms Pam Morphett stated “the new unit is everything the staff, doctors and patients require, we now have an exceptional facility to match the exceptional patient care”.
