Your stay with us
Your doctor arranges admission to Parkwynd Private Hospital. You will be given an admission form to be completed and returned to the hospital as soon as possible (at least 48 hours prior to your admission). Your doctor will notify you of your time of admission or alternatively, our administration staff may contact you. Our staff will be able to answer any questions or address any concerns that you may have about your stay with us.
We would be pleased to arrange a tour of our facilities prior to admission, and would especially encourage this for paediatric admissions.
When coming to this hospital you have given a general agreement to treatment, which may be required for your condition. Relevant information will be shared among health care staff, which allows us to provide the best possible care for you. This includes staff providing your care while in hospital and when you leave.
Certain procedures (such as operations and some medical treatments) require written consent. You are entitled to a clear understandable explanation of any procedure or operation planned for you and you should ensure that your doctor explains this for you. Before you sign a consent form you should fully understand the nature and after effects of your treatment and how long it will take for you to recover. You are entitled to refuse surgery or any other procedure if you wish. A parent or guardian is asked to sign the consent form if the patient is under 16.
We constantly measure our patients’ satisfaction with regard to the care and services they receive, and we seek ways to improve how we meet their expectations. As a patient or former patient, you may be asked to respond to a questionnaire designed to gauge your level of satisfaction with our hospital facilities or services. We hope you will take the few minutes required to complete the survey. Your comments are important to us. Customer satisfaction is one of our top priorities.
