Specialist physicians may be consulted as required. Mood and Anxiety Disorders Unit
The Mood and Anxiety Disorders Unit opened in April 2005. This unit offers a multi-disciplinary approach for people experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders such as depression, substance related disorders, and other general psychiatric disorders. A team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses and therapists help to ensure patients receive the best clinical care. An outpatient therapy group is also held weekly, which focuses on the maintenance of psychological, emotional and physical well-being.
