About Peninsula Private Hospital

Peninsula Private Hospital provides in-patient and day only health care services for privately insured, war veterans and self-insured people.  Our hospital has Tier 1 status with DVA which means that, in most instances, the treating specialist does not need to seek prior approval from DVA for patients being admitted to our facility. (Prior approval is still required for Veterans for dental procedures and white card holders).

Acute medical and surgical services are provided including general surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ENT surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, plastic and cosmetic surgery and acute general medicine.

Rehabilitation is also a major focus at Peninsula Private Hospital.  Our 20-bed Rehabilitation Unit offers orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, amputee, musculo-skeletal and reconditioning programs.  Programs are individually tailored according to each patient’s condition and requirements.
