Welcome to Northpark Private Hospital's Maternity Unit a luxuriously appointed unit in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Our maternity staff are committed to working closely with parents to ensure the best possible start in life for their baby. Our midwifery staff are highly skilled and understand the birthing process and demands of a growing family.
At Northpark Private Hospital's Maternity Unit we recognise that each of our families have different needs and we ensure that we cater to suit these individual requirements. We have services to support you through your pregnancy, labour, birth and in the post-natal period.

Large Double Bed Birth Suites
These beautifully appointed birthing suites are designed on the contemporary labour/deliver/recover model. They comprise a double bed so women can birth their babies and remain in the suite with their partner and baby. In fact partners are encouraged to stay the night to ease the transition into a new or extended parenting role (at no extra cost). We encourage your baby to stay with you at all times in these comfortable rooms.
Special Care Nursery
Our warm and welcoming Level 2 Special Care Nursery is in close proximity to the birthing suites and offers to meet the needs of term or premature babies. We boast a 24-hour paediatric roster with a choice of six paediatricians and also an after hours anaesthetic roster ready to assist with your birth.
Lactation Support
Here at Northpark Private Hospital's Maternity Unit we are committed to providing you and your baby the comprehensive advice regarding his/her nutrition. We are both mother and baby friendly. We recognise the importance of informed and individual choice and support you in whatever decision you make in regards to feeding. All our mothers have an opportunity to meet the lactation consultant either antenatally, through their hospital stay or once they go home- all at no additional charge
Antenatal Education /Physiotherapy Classes
We have a range of complimentary classes to suit busy parents to be. You will meet the midwives who will care for you when you have your baby at these classes. We have evening and weekend sessions to help fit into your lifestyle.

We cater for those families who are self insured, offering a competitive price for a 4-night stay, including your delivery.
