The program is designed for individuals diagnosed with Bipolar I or Bipolar II Disorders. The Bipolar (MAPS) group program has been researched and developed by the Mental Health Research Institute (2003):

M – monitoring and motivation

A – assessing

P – problem solving

S – SMART goal setting

The Program provides information and skills to assist people in the ongoing effective management of their Bipolar Disorder.

 

The Outreach Program can also provide mental health treatment through individual visits conducted in the home or community.

 

An appropriate treatment option can be decided by you in consultation with your doctor.

What are the costs?
Private health insurance is recommended. Funding may be provided by other agencies such as Workcover insurers (WC), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). Self funded clients are also welcome.
