Psychosis
The Inpatient Psychosis Management Program provides comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for patients diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Shizophreniform Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder or Delusional Disorder.
The Program is designed to increase the patient’s quality of life through the use of newly acquired skills in the management of psychosis. Group therapies include:
- Early Treatment Engagement
- Understanding Psychosis
- Cognitive Therapy for Delusions
- Cognitive Therapy for Voices
- Behavioural Skills Training
- Self Management Planning
- Relapse Prevention
The Outreach Program can also provide mental health treatment through individual visits conducted in the home or community.
An appropriate treatment option can be decided by you in consultation with your doctor.
What are the costs?
Private health insurance is recommended. Funding may be provided by other agencies such as Workcover insurers (WC), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). Self funded clients are also welcome.
