Your stay with us


Your specialist, local doctor or emergency department can arrange admission to Bellbird Private Hospital.  You will be given an admission form to be completed and returned to the hospital as soon as possible (at least 48 hours prior to your admission).  This allows our staff to contact you prior to your day of admission (either by phone or they may request that you make a brief visit to the hospital at a mutually convenient time).

Our staff will let you know what time to arrive, what items to bring with you and will be able to answer any questions or address any concerns that you may have about your stay with us.   They will discuss your current medications and medical history to ensure we provide the anaesthetist with a correct profile to prevent complications on the day of surgery.

The day before your admission you will receive a call to ensure you have correct admission and fasting times and they will confirm your health fund check and any out of pocket costs on your particular Health fund cover.  On arrival, please visit our main reception staff.

We constantly measure our patients’ satisfaction in regard to the care and services they receive, and we seek ways to improve how we meet their expectations.  As a patient or former patient, you may be asked to respond to a questionnaire designed to gauge your level of satisfaction with our hospital facilities or services.  We hope you will take the few minutes required to complete the survey.  Your comments are important to us.
