About Dorset Rehabilitation Centre

Dorset Rehabilitation Centre is a fully accredited 30-bed hospital rehabilitation facility.  Caring for people of all ages, we offer inpatient and outpatient programs with a special emphasis on orthopaedic, cardiac, neurological, trauma rehabilitation and pain management.

Rehabilitation aims to restore independence after an operation, illness or injury.  The many goals include improving mobility, fitness, confidence, self-reliance and wellbeing.  Through a structured program tailored to each patient, a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners will help you achieve your goals.

Our programs include Cardiac, Neurological, Orthopaedic, Outpatient Reconditioning and Trauma rehabilitation.  All programs are run by a team of highly qualified professionals, including consultant rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, a social worker, psychologist and dietician.

Our facilities include a purpose-built gymnasium, fully equipped hydrotherapy pool, Activities of Daily Living Kitchen and a workshop.
