John Fawkner Private Hospital is recognised by all major health funds, DVA, TAC and WorkCover. We can provide you with an estimate of hospital charges and outline the level of cover by your fund and any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur. In the event you do not have coverage for a procedure or do not have private health insurance, an estimate can be provided to you for private payment.

John Fawkner Private Hospital has Tier 1 Status with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). This means your doctor is able to admit eligible veterans, war widows/widowers without seeking approval from DVA. This arrangement means that veterans, war widows/widowers receive quality care in a location more convenient to them/their carer(s). Our nursing staff, who have extensive knowledge of local community supports, understand veterans' needs and aim to co-ordinate a range of services for the veteran on their return home.

We also have a Veteran Liaison Officer to implement a range of value added services and ancillary care which is fully covered throughout the episode of care and on return to the community.
