Our amenities

Knox Private Hospital offers a range of shared and private rooms.  The patient’s choice of room is subject to availability.  If the type of room preferred is not immediately available, every effort will be made to move the patient to their desired accommodation as soon as possible.  All rooms feature:  

• An ensuite
• A nurse call handset at each bed
• A television above each bed
• A telephone at each bed with complimentary local calls

For safety reasons, all electrical appliances brought into hospital by the patient require testing by the nurse in charge, prior to them being used within the hospital.  A small radio, cassette deck or portable CD player is welcome as long as it is equipped with headphones.

If required, flowers and gifts will be delivered to each patient’s room.  Vases are also available on request.

Hudson's Coffee is located on site and offers a delicious range of coffees, cold drinks, fresh muffins, sandwiches and snacks.

Knox Private Hospital aims to provide patients with a selection of appetising meals to provide them with the appropriate nourishment to aid recovery.  Special dietary requests can be met if required and a dietician is available upon referral from patient’s doctor.

In the interests of healthcare and patient comfort, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hospital building.  Some courtyards are designated smoking areas.
