Accreditation

At Como Private Hospital, our patients always come first. Our hospital has been providing high care since opening in 1972.

Como Private Hospital is accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). Como is pleased to be awarded a Certificate of Accreditation for a period of four years until 4 April 2014.

This we believe sends a clear message to the community that Como Private Hospital, its management and staff, are committed to excellence in health care with a strong and continuing focus on safety, quality and performance.

Como Private Hospital strives for continuous improvement in the quality of its services. We have developed and are continually reviewing our quality action plan to achieve this. Some of the key projects include:

• New 16 bed rehabilitation unit involving strong patient involvement from pre-admission to post discharge, extensive physio and discharge planning, and a Falls Prevention Program.  
• Wound Clinic, which opened in 2006, providing excellent service for the surrounding community.
• Progressive Day Procedure Unit with a reputation that exceeds itself.
