Cardiac services is a significant area of the hospital, the patient outcomes are being evaluated through:

  • Patient radiation and contrast exposure is being monitored to best practise standards by the cardiac department.

Admission & Discharge planning

Admission & Discharge planning has been enhanced through:

  • Development of patient liaison role
  • Pre-admission screening of patients
  • Emergency department screening and early patient identification
  • Development of relationships with onward care providers
  • Revision of discharge documentation to meet the needs of onward providers.

Safe Practice and Environment

Food services are being evaluated to ensure appropriate range and quality of diets including:

  • Revision of the menu to offer additional food choices
