AccreditationPeninsula Private Hospital is accredited by the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (www.achs.org.au). Following our most recent Periodic Review on 10th March, 2009 we were pleased to receive the following commendations – v Care planning is well documented, as demonstrated by clinical pathways and consistent completion of documentation, and care evaluation is very well done. v A strong culture of quality improvement exists at Peninsula Private Hospital, and an excellent Risk Management framework is in place to ensure compliance with standards is achieved. v Good system in place for credentialing of staff Peninsula Private Hospital strives for continuous improvement in the quality of its services. We have developed and are continually reviewing our quality action plan to achieve this outcome. Some of the key projects include: v Continued development of patient rehabilitation services including Day Rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy programs. v Review of Day Surgery programs and processes to ensure that care is delivered in the most appropriate setting and in a timely manner, with optimum outcomes for the patient. v Improved systems for care of Paediatric patients, including increased specialist paediatric equipment and enhanced staff education and training in Paediatric care.
