Patient fees

Peninsula Private Hospital is recognised by most major health funds, which will reimburse all treatment costs depending on your level of coverage.  We can provide you with an estimate of hospital charges and outline the level of cover by your fund and any out-of-pocket expenses, which you may incur.

As a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Tier 1 hospital, your treating doctor can arrange for your admission to Peninsula Private without requiring prior approval, in most instances.  (Prior approval is still required for Veterans for dental procedures and white card holders).

Prior approval is sought for compensable patients (i.e. Workcover and MAIB).  Private payment is also accepted for self-insured patients.
