Accreditation

Pine Rivers Private Hospital is accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (www.achs.org.au). Following our most recent accreditation survey on 8 December 2004, we were pleased to receive commendations for the following: 

• Our introductory course for nurses on psychiatric illness and assessment 
• Our aggression management training program 
• Our effective follow-up of health and safety issues including the use of external expertise to advise on resolution

Pine Rivers Private Hospital strives for continuous improvement in the quality of its services. We have developed and are continually reviewing our quality action plan to achieve this. Some of the key projects include:  

• Review of clinical pathways and development of a process for analysing and monitoring variances 
• Installation of a new nurse call and personal duress alarm system 
• Appointment of an Assessment Co-ordinator to improve the pre-admission and discharge planning process, and to follow up day program progress.
