General information


Mobile phones must be switched off within all hospital buildings to ensure there is no interference with medical equipment.  They may be used in courtyard and foyer areas.  Public phones are available within all facilities for your convenience.

All patients and visitors must respect our smoke-free policy whilst within the hospital complexes and the Queensland Government bans all smoking in public buildings.

Patients are advised not to consume alcohol before surgery, as it can interact with medication.  After surgery, please consult with your doctor as to when it will be safe to consume alcohol.

Religious faith representatives and clergy from all denominations are welcome and may be contacted through the nurse who will arrange a visit for you.  You and your visitors may also visit the Gold Coast Hospital Chapel, which is opposite Pacific Private Hospital.
