Orthopaedics – The Mount Hospital orthopaedic unit is a dynamic unit providing expert care to patients undergoing joint replacement surgery, sports injury and all general orthopaedic surgery.
Neurosurgery – The Neurosurgical unit provides expert care to patients undergoing extensive neurosurgical procedures on their head, neck and back, including open craniotomy, awake craniotomys, disc replacements and all back fusion and repair surgery, all supported with the level 3 ICU.
Respiratory Medicine – The Mount Hospital is able to provide care and treatment for Respiratory patients. We cater for patients with chronic and acute respiratory illness. The hospital regularly cares for patients with bronchiectasis, emphysema and asthma and is able to provide diagnosis for patients via the use of bronchoscopy. The Mount also provides comprehensive investigation of sleep disorders such as sleep apnoea with our dedicated 3 bed Sleep Clinic.
Reconstructive Plastic Surgery – The Mount Hospital undertakes advanced surgical reconstruction procedures such as breast reconstruction, oral facial maxilliary reconstruction, which are often follow-up procedures to patients who have had surgical treatment for cancer and/or major accidents.
Breast Surgery – A full range of treatment is available for women with breast cancer and illness, including lumpectomies, sentinel node biopsies, mastectomies and follow-up reconstructive surgery. A specialised breast cancer nurse provides patients with specific education and counselling regarding their illness, treatment and follow-up.
General Surgery – A full range of General Surgery is undertaken at the Mount Hospital including major abdominal, gastroenterology, gynaecology and extensive laparoscopic surgery.
Vascular Surgery – Vascular surgery is thriving at Mount Hospital and is now at the stage where over 80% of the work can be done in an Interventional Lab rather than via an open procedure. In addition, Mount Hospital is the only private hospital in WA offering carotid artery angiography and stenting. This is in addition to the Endoluminal management of aneurysms.
Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery – The hospital caters for patients with chronic nasal sinusitis, hearing difficulties, sleep apnoea and throat conditions, as well as providing facilities and services to conduct major head and neck surgery for the dissection of cancer.
Endoscopy Unit – Supported by a number of leading Gastroenterologists and Respiratory specialists, it is a fully serviced diagnostic endoscopy unit.

Oncology – The Mount Cancer and Research Service is committed to comprehensive private cancer care encompassing all aspects of the patient’s journey. The service has over 50 cancer specialists who are leaders in their chosen fields, and provides support from oncology nurses, social workers, nutritionists, pharmacy and others.
Haematology – Mount Hospital is Perth’s private sector hospital providing multi-disciplinary cancer services. Our medical, nursing and paramedical teams work in collaboration to provide team-based quality patient care. In collaboration with our research centre, Mount Cancer Services offer a centre of excellence for research in haematology. The haematology service programmes available include chemotherapy, anti-microbial therapy, supportive care post-chemotherapy and specialised outpatient consultation and services.
Bariatric Surgery – An innovative weight loss surgery is available at the Mount Hospital upon referral from a General Practitioner. The minimally invasive lap-band procedure helps people whose weight is a medical, physical or social problem, reduce and control their weight. The procedure ultimately improves general health, reduces the risk of obesity related disease and generally enhances quality of life for the patient.

Urology - The Mount Hospital offers state of the art urological services with the addition of a high powered Holmium Laser that will allow men with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH - commonly known as prostatism) to be treated with less risk of bleeding, a faster recovery time, and less need for re-operation than the current standard transurethral resection of prostate (TURP).
Rehabilitation - The Mount Hospital now provides rehabilitation services in our leading rehabilitation unit. Our Mallee Rehabilitation unit aims to restore independence after an operation, illness or injury. Our multi disciplinary team of practitioners will help you get back to your best.
