Our staff

At Melbourne Private Hospital, we expect all our healthcare staff to provide the highest standards of care for our patients. This means getting the fundamentals right too. From the moment they enter our hospital, all patients are treated with dignity and respect as well as receiving the best possible care. Our staff also speak a wide range of languages should you need assistance. These include English, Cantonese, Greek and Italian.

Your satisfaction is important to us!

We constantly measure our patients’ satisfaction with the medical care and services they receive, and we seek ways to improve how we meet their expectations. As a patient or former patient, you may be asked to respond to a questionnaire designed to gauge your level of satisfaction with our hospital. We hope you will take the few minutes required to complete the survey. Your comments are important to us. Customer satisfaction is one of our top priorities.

Accreditation!

Melbourne Private Hospital Accreditation Update: Melbourne Private Hospital achieved successful (ACHS Organisational Wide) accreditation in June 2008 (for a period of four years until 2012).

At the time of Organisational Wide Survey, the Surveyors noted that Melbourne Private Hospital has a strong commitment to quality care and service provision. Our care is customer focused, evidence-based and continually evaluated. The ACHS survey team identified 3 specific areas of extensive achievement:

1. The Infection Control Program

2. Management of pressure ulcers

3. The Quality Improvement Program

Melbourne Private Hospital has a culture of quality improvement and risk management with demonstrable improvement in outcomes. Some of these strategies in addition to the above items include:

* A Falls Management Program- minimising the incidence of falls and fall injuries

* Complaints management processes

* Safety management systems to ensure patients, staff & consumers are safe.

* Establishment of a Radiation safety Plan in line with new legislation

Please contact the General Manager if you have any questions about the accreditation or quality improvement programs.
