Angiography Suite and Coronary Care Unit

The National Capital Private Hospital has the only private cardiac angiography suite and coronary care unit in the ACT.  Our highly skilled nursing staff work in partnership with cardiologists to ensure that all patients receive the highest possible standard of care.

The Coronary Care unit has been designed to provide highly specialised care to patients with acute cardiac illnesses or those who have had a procedure performed in the angiography suite.  The coronary care unit is equipped with Telemetry Monitoring ensuring all patients peace of mind at all times.

The consultant cardiologists manage all coronary care patients, supported by experienced medical practitioners who are available on a 24-hour, 7 days a week basis.  This ensures that each patient receives immediate attention should the need arise.

Chemotherapy Day Unit

Our Chemotherapy Day Unit is staffed by experienced registered nurses who have all undertaken post graduate studies in chemotherapy nursing.  The unit operates closely with the medical specialists’ consulting room, ensuring close liaison with medical staff.  Education and support for patients undergoing chemotherapy is provided onsite.  Should patients require overnight admission to support them during their chemotherapy treatment, rooms are available in the medical unit adjacent to the day unit.
